Orca Update

I mentioned in my last post that we had seen a group of orcas off Savary Island.

We had reported the sighting to whale-watcher extraordinaire, Susan Mackay, who jumped in her boat to take a look. She reports on her blog that one of the group was a new-born. Its mother belongs to one of the northern resident families.
