Congratulations to Terry Glavin, named this year's winner of the Lieutenant-Governor's Award for Literary Excellence. Very deserved recognition for a writer determinedly committed to BC culture.
No better way to celebrate Earth Day (Wednesday, April 22) than to read one of his books. Waiting for the Macaws, a look at wildlife extinctions, is his latest but there are many others on subjects as diverse as Fraser River sturgeon and native residential schools. Terry also deserves a lot of credit for editing the wonderful Transmontanus series of short monographs on BC subjects, published by New Star Books.
